We Remain Open to Assist You as We Follow Prudent Safety Precautions

As a Florida estate planning attorney office, we do so much more than help families transfer wealth to loved ones at the time of their passing. While this is a critical part of our process, we also ensure that each of our clients and their families are protected during life as well. We not only create wills and trusts, but also health care documents, such as the living will, and financial documents, such as the Florida durable power of attorney.

These are essential services. Even though research tells us that less than 50% of all Americans have completed their estate planning, it does not make it any less vital.  In fact, in light of what we are facing as a nation with Covid-19, knowing your wishes for yourself and your family, and making sure they know them, too, is perhaps the most important thing you can be doing right now.

This is just one of the reasons why our law practice is staying open. We want to ensure that you, your loved ones, friends and neighbors all have access to an experienced Florida estate planning attorney who is able to guide you. We also want you to know we are exercising all the precautions we can during these challenging times.

Let us provide you with more information on what we are doing in our firm right here on our blog.

1. We are offering telephone and video conferencing services when we can. We know that telephone and video options are not the right fit for everyone but, where they can be used, we are offering them to both our new and existing clients.

2. We have started to offer “drive-by” signings so that our clients can sign their documents in the comfort of their own car, if they choose, while we provide them with the witnesses and notary they need. We do this right here in our building parking lot.

3. Our office is open and will remain open for the foreseeable future. We know that there are times clients will want, or need, to come into our law firm. For these clients, we are taking sanitation precautions and practices very seriously. We regularly wipe down all surfaces with disinfectant and abide by the recommended social distancing guidelines. Upon request, we are willing to wear a mask and gloves.

4. We want you to partner with us on this serious health concern. We provide notice to each of our new and existing clients before they enter our building to consider their own person. We are asking each of our clients to not come into the firm if they feel sick, are experiencing symptoms, or have traveled to the tri-state area (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut) as well as internationally within the last 14 days. We also ask that our potential visitors apply these same standards to themselves even if it is not them personally, but a loved one within the household.

We know this time may prove challenging for all of us, for many different reasons. We want you to know that we are here for you and will continue to be able to represent you in the community. Do not hesitate to contact us to ask us your questions and let us know how we can help you, now or in the future.
