Stuart is the county seat for Martin County, FL. It is the largest of four incorporated municipalities in Martin County located 40 miles north of West Palm Beach and 135 miles southeast of Orlando. As the county seat, Stuart is the location of the Martin County Courthouse, the Clerk of the Circuit Court, and the Probate & Guardianship Division of the Florida Nineteenth Judicial Circuit serving all of Martin County. There are four Circuit Judges.
