How often should my estate plan be updated?

It’s important that planning be updated on a regular basis.  Anytime somebody goes through a major change in their life, for example, a death in the family, a divorce, major change in financial circumstances, planning should always be reviewed at that time.

In addition, I recommend having a review of a plan at least once every three years to make sure that it’s up-to-date and that it’s going to fulfill all of your goals.
